Flinders bust

A bust of Matthew Flinders (1774-1814), an English navigator who was leader of the first circumnavigation of Australia. He was also one of the people who suggested the name "Australia" for the continent. Though he was not the first to suggest this name it was the name that was eventually decided on (before this, Australia was known as the lands of New Holland and New South Wales. New South Wales is still used as the name of one of the states).
